Burkina's Promise, Inc.

VISION STATEMENT

OUR VISION IS TO UNLEASH THE POTENTIAL OF BURKINA FASO’S CHILDREN BY PROVIDING OTHERWISE UNAFFORDABLE EDUCATION

MISSION STATEMENT

BURKINA’S PROMISE, INC. WILL ASSIST FAMILIES OF BURKINA FASO TO EDUCATE THEIR CHILDREN AND BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY

girlThe vision for Burkina’s Promise, Inc. was born out of the experiences from several short term mission trips taken to Burkina Faso.

In the fall of 2010 the idea of a foundation or non-profit organization was discussed that could have long term results through helping poor pastor’s families meet the challenge of educating their children.

In 2011, the methods and details were put in place for screening and selecting applicants from the over 500 families of subsistence farmer/pastors.

In 2013, the IRS granted tax exempt status as a public charity under section 501(c)(3) retroactive to January 23, 2012.

The cost was established at $120 per student per year (just $10/month), including the cost of tuition, uniforms, books and supplies, a bag of grain and simple medical assistance.
